Risk perception for the quality of supply of electricity

“Power cuts don’t bother people, but power shortages do”.

This summarizes the result of the study on risk perception of the quality of supply of electricity. The Risk Dialogue Foundation was commissioned by ewz, the electricity company of the city of Zurich, to investigate how the population experiences power cuts and what they expect of the electricity supplier. According to the survey, the population of the survey wants a secure power supply, but nearly no one thinks about outages. In addition, customers have increasingly high expectations of their electricity supplier. Communication in the event of outages and on energy policy issues will therefore be central for the future.
