The aim of the evaluation was, on the one hand, to draw up an inventory and a comparison of current practice in the four areas of market surveillance by the Federal Office of Transport (FOT): dangerous goods containment, cableways, railways and recreational craft. From this, the potential for optimisation was derived and the need for coordination was shown, as well as the proportionality of the services provided in the individual areas was assessed.
