The Spiez Laboratory designed and implemented a biosafety laboratory in order to be able to work with highly pathogenic agents in the future. In this context, internal and external stakeholder-oriented risk communication is an important factor for sucess, as similar projects from abroad have shown.

On the basis of individual interviews and focus groups, an analysis of risk perception was carried out. This resulted in recommendations for risk communication. Based on this, a workshop was held with the management, followed by a staff training.
