New technologies such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) can be assessed differently by different stakeholders. Depending on the situation, the focus is on opportunities, but also on risks. Dialogue and joint solution-findings can help to identify and address potential conflicts at an early stage. The present report for the attention of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) clarifies the need for – and the interest of participants in – a stakeholder platform on the opportunities and risks of RFID.
